Econ 413R Idea Archive
This document was created in response to Dr. Price’s comment in class that posited that perhaps ideas should be treated less as “stocks” to be hoarded and more as a “flow” that could use the input and priming of others--as you recall, the impression he had was to become less guarded about the ownership of ideas/contributions to work and more concerned with just trying to meaningfully collaborate and move work forward. The hope is that this will provide a means for those interested in improving the quality of all of our projects by ferreting out weaknesses and “blind spots” and exposing each of us to a broader pool of creativity than we possess individually. It may also be the case that as you post ideas and input to others’ ideas that natural collaborations arise, simplifying the selection of group members for the term project.
In that spirit, we impose the following structure for posting and contributing to ideas on this Google doc. Three main elements, a question, data, and a lever , are based on a previous RA training by Dr. Price.
[Comments and feedback/input can be placed in brackets followed by hyphen and initials of commenter-JS] Make sure to give your idea a title and place this in bold with a number in front and add it to the table of contents to make it easier for your classmates to find ideas of interest.
